Circa at Culture Night (Monday 22 September 2008)

One of the great things about Culture Night, held last Friday in Cork, Limerick, Galway and Dublin, is the number of people out sampling the country's cultural offerings. To judge by Temple Bar last Friday, the crowds came. Downside is, of course, if you're running one of these events you don't get to see the others... Anyway, on the night Circa in conjunction with Temple Bar Gallery and Studios hosted the first Circa Culture Night video screening. The videos were those selected from the open submission on YouTube. The evening was a great success, with special thanks to Lee Welch of Four Gallery (curator of the selection), Emer Marron and all the staff at Temple Bar Gallery and Studios, and to all the artists. Below are some images from the night, and you can read more about the open-submission competition here.
